DEV NOTES
- This is the third-longest I've ever spent on a single game, though you wouldn't know to look at it. Turns out rhythm game programming is REALLY HARD; it took hours and hours to get the game even to the semi-playable state it's currently in, and even then it's held together with duct tape and string. It's also the hardest, particularly Nightcore Mode; I have no tips if you get stuck except to keep trying. The game is built to be difficult and abrasive for the masochistic high, but it shouldn't seem unfair - I can beat Nightcore consistently without dying. If you get stuck on the regular difficulty, try Vaporwave Mode, it should be easier.
- Thumper is the obvious main inspiration here, but I've actually never played it, because it won't run on my laptop. This game is, rather, based on what I imagine playing Thumper *could* feel like. Someday I'll find out if it worked...
- Tip for replayability: you can hit the number keys and QWERT on the main menu to jump instantly to a level, functioning as a de facto level selector. This also works with Vaporwave and Nightcore modifiers.
